Do you struggle with healthy eating…because you’re not quite sure what that means? If you’re looking to start living healthier and feeling better, it really comes down to a few key rules and one of them is eating real food.
Choose whole foods instead of processed. Look, try to swap your frozen pizza and instant ramen with whole foods like fresh fruits, vegetables, and whole grains. They are packed with essential nutrients like protein, fiber, healthy fats, vitamins and minerals as opposed to processed foods which contain empty calories
Take a look at the ingredient list of each item in your kitchen cupboards, refrigerator and storage room. Avoid anything that has artificial additives, artificial sweeteners, and refined sugars.
The term "whole foods" generally describes natural, unprocessed foods containing only one ingredient.
If the product looks like it was made in a factory, then it's probably not a whole food.
Whole foods are very high in vitamins, minerals, dietary fiber, and water, which is why they will keep you healthy, beautiful and energized.
Include in your meals fresh fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, unrefined grains, and beans. They're unprocessed, unrefined and don’t contain any added salt, added sweeteners, added fats or artificial additives.
Another step to being healthy is drinking water. I know, it can be hard sometimes when we are busy with our schedules. Just keep your water bottle always next to you, in your bag, at home so you always stay hydrated.
Keep in mind these few tips and tricks!
